NEW Calendar Updates ... The Calendars for July and August have been posted on the Calendar page. Watch for more updates as they are available.
2008 Calendar ... The approved calendar for 2008 is now posted on the Calendar page. There are individual months as well as an entire year document. The Event Calendar page has each month's event along with the POC posted. These pages will be updated throughout the year as we progress month-by-month. As trips or events are planned they will be posted and updated both here and on the calendar pages
Youth Protection Training .. YPT training needs to be updated by all of the adult leaders. It is a simple 30 minute on-line course available at OCBSA.org. The link directly to the training is http://olc.scouting.org
Phone Roster .. the roster has been updated with the new scouts, as well as updated phone numbers and other information. Since we no longer have a secure page on the website it will be e-mailed out to your e-mail addresses. If you do not receive it you can e-mail the troop webmaster for a copy.
Cooking .. Tired of the same Dutch Oven cooking?? We have a Dutch Oven cookbook as well as a foil-pack cooking guide on the Library page of this website. Also, on the Links page are several links to websites with outdoor cooking information. Check them out for some new and different food on the next campout.
Secure Page ... The Troop 113 Only secure page has been removed with the move to the new server. At this time the council does not have plans to renew this option so for now we will have to share confidential information like the Troop Roster and Advancement Logs via e-mail. Let me know if you need updated copies of the roster (it was last updated in October 2006) and I can send them over. I will keep you all posted if there are changes to this policy.
Advancement ... the guide for setting up your advancement binder is posted on the Advancement page. .
Merit Badge Counselors Needed .. A roster of Adult Leader Merit Badge counselors from our troop is being developed as a resource. If you have skills and talents that are applicable to any of the badges (including the Eagle Required badges) click here to download a Merit Badge Counselor application and fill it out. Each adult leader can be a counselor for up to 6 badges. All you need to do is fill out this form plus an Adult Leader form (the same as when you joined except you do not need to pay the fee again .. click here to download a copy) and send it in to the OCBSA office.
Uniform Patch Placement .. For new scouts bridging in or if your uniform is in need of some work, click here for a copy of the BSA approved patch placement guide..
Tour Permit .. for any parents who are POC's for upcoming events, a tour permit has been added to the forms page for reference. To print the form you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader (which most people have by now). When you click print, you may need to go into "page setup" under "file" and set the printer to "letter" size paper instead of the "legal" size unless you have legal (11x14) size paper in your printer. Advancement Checklists are now posted on the Advancement Page for reference prior to scheduling a Scoutmaster conference or Board of Review. Please check these and print them off prior to calling for either of these reviews. They contain important information about what to bring, how to prepare, etc. Scouts will be held accountable for being prepared!
